Following the release of 2018’s “You Won’t Come Home,” a release that I found very enjoyable, Stuck Out are back with their latest EP, titled “Lie Through Your Teeth.”
The EP starts off strong with “Inverse,” where the massive intro precedes a gripping vocal performance during the verse that leads up to the song’s huge, anthemic chorus, where the hard-hitting instrumentals from that aforementioned intro return to accompany the vocals. “False Promise” brings some catchy melodies right off the bat, and the instrumentals gradually build up the first few sections to a more energetic chorus.
“Hollow” slows things down a little bit, and the hard-hitting drums and bass accompany some softer vocals as both the melodies and the instrumentals bring some darker composition to the track, which makes it more intriguing to listen to. The song gradually gets louder as it builds up to the huge chorus, which contains some more memorable hooks. The EP concludes with its lead single, “Mindless,” where catchy instrumentals drive the song’s upbeat rhythm and accompany the vocals as they deliver melodies that are equally as catchy. Yours Truly’s frontwoman Mikaila Delgado takes the lead during the second verse of this track and puts on a very impressive performance that showcases her talent as a vocalist and fits perfectly on here. The end of the track contrasts from the many sections prior to it, as it’s much slower and softer, but it closes the EP out nicely. “Lie Through Your Teeth” only gets better as it goes on, and it’s a fantastic release from Stuck Out. "LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH" IS AVAILABLE NOW. LISTEN TO THE EP HERE:
