Following the release of their single “Choke” just over two years ago, Demon In Me are back with “Episode 1,” the first of a series of brand new EPs.
The EP opens with the lead single “Honey Pot,” which starts off with softer instrumentals before catchy drumbeats come in to drive the upbeat rhythm. The captivating vocals deliver similarly catchy melodies through an emotional performance before more instrumentation comes in for the song's unforgettable chorus. The second of these songs is “White Room,” which also opens with catchy instrumentation, right before harder hitting drums come in to finish out a strong intro. The verses are softer vocally, giving the louder drums and catchy guitar and bass riffs a chance to shine before the huge chorus, which brings another stellar vocal performance filled with emotion. The same can be said about the bridge, bringing powerful performances both vocally and instrumentally. Closing track “Run” is a pretty big standout on the EP, containing a slower tempo and slightly darker composition in comparison to the previous two tracks. The vocals are showcased a lot more on here, especially in the harder hitting chorus and ending, where both the instrumentals and vocals put on equally as emotional performances yet again, concluding the EP very well.
Each song on “Episode 1” brings impressive performances that contain the raw emotion that makes this band’s music stand out so much in the first place, and these three songs were well worth the wait. "EPISODE 1" IS AVAILABLE NOW. LISTEN TO THE EP HERE:
