Since their inception in 2015, Settle Your Scores have been making waves within the pop-punk and easycore scene. The quintet has made a name for themselves with their 2016 debut “The Wilderness” and the highly-anticipated 2018 sophomore effort “Better Luck Tomorrow.” It’s been nearly three years since then, but the summer of 2021 is bound to be big for the band as they prepare for the release of their third LP, “Retrofit.”

In 2018, RIVALS took the scene by storm with the release of their debut album, “Damned Soul.” The California-based band has seen copious amounts of success over the course of the last three years, and they’ve spent the first few months of 2021 preparing for the release of their long-awaited sophomore LP, “Sad Looks Pretty On Me.”

Tempe, Arizona based band Sundressed have had a busy last couple of years. In 2018, they released a split EP with Texas-based Nominee, and last spring, they returned with another new single, “Heart Lie,” featuring Tiny Stills. Fast forward to the summer of 2020, and the band have announced their recent signing to Rude Records, and with that announcement came the release of a brand new single, titled “Home Remedy.”

2019 was a huge year for California based musician Cory Wells. He went on a handful of tours not only across North America, but also on the other side of the world, playing his music to more and more audiences in support of the long-awaited release of his debut album, “The Way We Are.”
This past October, Toronto Blessings released their debut EP, "Asleep" In this exclusive track-by-track, the band gives an inside look on the EP.
Another year has come and gone, and with the end of another year comes end-of-year lists. Many bands got their start this year with their debut EPs, many added more releases to their discography, and there were a lot of noteworthy releases from throughout 2019.
It's hard to believe how fast 2019 has gone by, and with the end of the year comes my annual end-of year lists. So many fantastic albums were released this year, from impressive debuts to solid sophomore records to ones later on in a band's catalogue. Without further ado, here are my top 20 albums of 2019.
