There are a handful of bands in the rock and alternative scene playing and reviving a subgenre known as easycore, and one of those many bands is Tennessee based No, This Is Patrick! The quintet dropped their debut EP “This Is Not Ideal” back in 2017, and two years later, released their long-awaited self-titled debut full-length.

Boston-based band Future Teens are a band that have been getting quite a bit more recognition as of late, and should definitely be on your radar if they aren’t already. Back in 2017, the band signed to Take This To Heart Records and put out their debut LP, “Hard Feelings,” and it really helped jumpstart the band’s career.
IN LOVING MEMORY TALK LATEST SINGLE “VIXEN” and NEW MUSICWRITTEN BY: MEGIn Loving Memory has quite a long history behind them. After their formation a few years back, the then four-piece released two EPs that were much in the post-hardcore realm, especially compared to their newer material. Most recently, the now two-piece have released a new single titled “Vixen,” showing off the band’s new sound and marking the beginning of a new era for them.

Young Culture had quite an interesting and eventful 2018. They embarked on a cross-country tour with Belmont and Crooked Teeth, and even did a headliner with Broken Field Runner and Riviera supporting them. Without a doubt, some of the biggest things that happened for the band that year were their signing to Equal Vision Records and dropping two new songs that marked the beginning of a new era for the band: the release cycle for their brand new EP, “This Is (Heaven).”

While the UK is the home for a lot of great up-and-coming pop punk and alternative bands, there’s also been some great heavier acts from the country as well, one of many of them being the Yorkshire-based hardcore quartet Blood Youth. Between 2015 and 2018, the band released two EPs and their debut full-length on Rude Records, and have played various different tours and festivals. February of 2019 brought the band’s long-awaited sophomore LP, “Starve.”
FOLLOWER TALK UPCOMING EPWRITTEN BY: MEGIt’s safe to say that the UK has a pretty great music scene, especially when it comes to local music and up-and-coming bands who are just getting their start in the scene. One of many of these newer bands is the Guildford-based alternative rock five-piece FOLLOWER. The band formed in 2016, with the members initially meeting through the internet and using the same platforms to find other musicians until the lineup was eventually complete. The beginning of 2019 saw the band release their debut single and announce their debut EP, and the release for that is right around the corner.

Happy. combine various elements of pop punk with alternative rock and other similar styles, and the songs they’ve released so far are pretty different from each other, each one contrasting and standing out amongst the rest.

FELICITY are one of quite a few pop punk bands out there that have had a lot of hype around them as of late. Since the band’s formation, they’ve released two EPs, and after years of waiting, the band have finally dropped their highly anticipated third one, “Old Habits.”
