REVIEWS
Mass Sky Raid have released their latest record, titled “Science Of Fiction.”
“Mirrors” starts off the album strong and showed me a little bit of what I could expect on the rest of the record, at least in the vocal department. The vocalist delivered a great performance with some fantastic melodies and a chorus that instantly got stuck in my head after I first heard the track. “Sacrifice” and “Enemy” are the two tracks that follow, and they’re both a bit darker compared to the opener.
“Edge Of The Unknown” is softer and slower but definitely builds up a bit, especially to its huge and memorable chorus. “Chemical Design” has a great hook that grabbed my attention instantly and it’s just a very upbeat and fun song to listen to. “This Moment” is another one that really stuck out to me right away with its hard hitting intro. The chorus is just as big and the vocal performance there absolutely blew me away. There’s another massive chorus on the following track, “Closer,” another upbeat one, with the drums in particular being very prominent and driving the rhythm. “Delirium” keeps that energy up and brings in even more impressive drum parts. “Dream,” on the other hand, is a lot softer compared to a lot of these other tracks. The intro is more ambient, and the percussion seems to incorporate more synths and seemingly programmed drums until the chorus comes in. The album closes out with “Ocean,” and it’s definitely a great choice for the final track. The vocal performance on here shows off the singer’s range a lot more, brings some more great melodies, and is just impressive overall. LISTEN TO THE ALBUM HERE:
