Favorite Tracks: Echoes, Blossom, Empty Throne Alazka are a post hardcore band from Germany. Their debut album, titled "Phoenix," was released on September 1st, 2017. This album has a little bit of variety as far as the vocals go. There are some tracks, such as "Ghost," "Blossom" and "Fading Flame" that are a bit heavier vocally and sound a bit more like melodic hardcore songs. Meanwhile, song like "The Witness," "Everglow," and "Legacy" have a good combination of singing and screaming, showing off the vocals really well. "Echoes" and "Ash" are shorter tracks but the musicality of both of them impressed me. Instrumentally, I love the guitar parts. There's a fantastic lead guitar solo during "Everything" and catchy rhythm guitar parts on "Hearts Of Gold" and "Empty Throne," which was my first impression of this band (and a good first impression, I might add). Overall, I thought this album was pretty good. I like the direction the band went in with this record and I can see it being appealing to many fans of this style of music.
