REVIEWS
As We Once Were are a band I’ve been a fan of for quite some time now. I loved their last EP and have loved their music ever since. When they released their new single “More (Better Days),” I was ecstatic about finally hearing new music from this band. The song starts off softer at first until the band’s signature pop-punk instrumentation comes in. The pre-chorus on this track builds up so well to the huge chorus. The melodies and composition on this track stand out a lot, especially in that chorus. The band shows their unique songwriting style yet again on this track, using metaphors in the lyrics in lines such as “I’ve lost count of the paper cuts I've gotten trying to close this chapter of my life, I'm starting to chip away at the laundry list of problems in my mind.” Overall, I think this track is a standout in As We Once Were’s discography and one in the genre they’re a part of.
