Following the releases of their 2017 debut LP “Immuniversity” and their 2018 EP “Promstarr,” FRND CRCL have released their sophomore album, titled “Internet Noise.”
The album contains plenty of upbeat tracks, starting with the opening track “Somethin Bout You,” bringing catchy riffs in the intro and verses before a pretty memorable chorus. The guitars and drums build up the bridge and overall, the instrumentation on this track is really catchy. Singles like “Loose Cannon” and the unforgettable “Famous” follow suit, bringing catchy instrumentals and melodies from start to finish. One Last Dance” brings a bit more energy, driven by the drums and bass, and the tempo changes later on make the song stand out quite a bit.
A couple of tracks on here showcase a darker side of the band’s sound, such as the much faster paced single “Deception,” bringing more catchy riffs and drumbeats, and the intriguing “The Waiting Game,” which incorporates some shouted vocals and showcases some great instrumental performances surrounding yet another memorable chorus, and the acoustically driven closer “Charlotte's Web,” which allows the vocals to shine in the chorus, and those vocals are emphasized even more by the added vocal harmonies. The remaining two tracks are also a lot softer in comparison to the rest of the record, at least at first. “For When Bombs Fall” begins with some cleaner guitars that play simple (yet still catchy) guitar riffs throughout the song, and despite its softer start, hard hitting drums eventually come in and build the song up. “End Of The World” is also acoustically driven and has some softer vocals in the beginning, but once more instrumentals are added into the mix, the song quickly turns into a bigger and harder hitting ballad. The huge chorus provides powerful vocal and instrumental performances, and the impressive guitar solo later on is pretty catchy. FRND CRCL put a unique and pretty distinct twist on the pop punk and pop rock genres, and the nine tracks on “Internet Noise” display that very well with the variety and overall memorability. "INTERNET NOISE" IS AVAILABLE NOW. LISTEN TO THE ALBUM HERE:
