Wake Up Hate have released their debut EP, titled “Deep Sleep.”
Opener “The Cycle” shows the various aspects of this band’s sound right off the bat with the darker guitars and synths that drive the beginning of the track, leading up to its huge chorus that shows off the raw style that the vocalist has. “A New Way To Hate” follows in similar footsteps, showing off the darker side of their music through not only the instrumentation, but also the melodies, and those raw vocals shine once again during the pre-chorus and very captivating chorus. “Over The Edge” allows the bass to shine in the verses, while allowing the vocals to do the same in the chorus as they deliver one of quite a few emotional performances found on the EP. “Deep Sleep” brings chaotic instrumentation and yet another raw, slightly more aggressive, and overall very impressive vocal performance, found in one of the best choruses on this EP. “Love Me Like A Hurricane” begins on a much softer note, showing off the vocals really well as it builds up to the chorus and energetic, emotional bridge. “Not Worth Saving” has similar dynamics, with softer verses and a much bigger chorus (with another great vocal performance, I might add), and closing track “Blind Apologies” brings together all the elements found on the previous six tracks, from the mix of synths and harder hitting instrumentals to vocals that shine just as much as the instrumentation does, and impressive performances all around. “Deep Sleep” shows Wake Up Hate solidifying and showing off their sound through several powerful and overall pretty impressive rock songs. "Deep sleep" is available now. listen to it here:
