Victory Lane have released their latest EP, titled “Barebones.”
“Just Personal” opens up the EP with upbeat instrumentals and extremely catchy melodies all throughout. The song is such a memorable track and was a great choice for the opener for this EP. Single “Life Past 98” follows it up, and its equally as catchy melodies shine through a great vocal performance. “Happy Sad” is a bit more midtempo compared to the past two, but is driven by some really impressive drums, and has yet another catchy chorus where the vocals stand out a lot.
“Creative Control” brings the energy back and is easily one of the fastest songs on this EP, not to mention one of the catchiest overall and one of the most impressive vocally. The key change towards the end caught my attention as well and really helps make the song stand out even more than it already does. Closing track “Firing Line” slows things down, showing off the vocals and guitars at first, but becomes a more midtempo ballad after the first chorus. The song builds up so well, leading up to a super catchy guitar solo and impressive vocal performance during the bridge and the final choruses, ending the song and EP well. Victory Lane’s latest release is extremely memorable, full of passion, and certainly well worth the wait. LISTEN TO THE EP HERE:
