Anyone Anyway have released their latest EP, titled “All The Kinds Of Love You’ll Find.”
I had never listened to or heard of this band before, but I stumbled across this EP on Bandcamp and decided to give it a listen, and I was immediately won over.
The EP opens up with “Periwinkle,” which impressed me from beginning to end. There is so much emotion on this track, found in the vocals and in lyrics like “So do I stay here, or am I lost? Is there something better where I'm not? Am I a prisoner left to wander all alone? We were never meant to be on our own.” The bridge and breakdown are a bit more aggressive and the instrumentation, especially the insanely fast drums, get more of a chance to shine. “Wanderer, Pt. II” and “Sway” have some dark instrumentation in their eerie and mysterious intros. They’re both a lot slower and more ambient compared to the first track, but they also have huge choruses with passionate vocals. “I Wish There Was A Way To Know” starts out slower and softer as well, with some brighter and cleaner guitars. That being said, there’s a huge final chorus and ending to this song with a fantastic vocal performance that blew me away. “Silver Skin” finishes the EP very well. It brings the energy back, adds in some darker melodies and harsher vocals, and is the most aggressive track on this whole EP. Overall, I loved this EP. The raw emotion shown in the impressive performances, and the unique composition found all throughout these five songs make “All The Kinds Of Love You’ll Find” an interesting listen.
