SONGS YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO - 11/26/18

Awhile back, we started a weekly column to recommend music, and we’re bringing it back. Here are a few songs - some new and some a bit older, from bands and artists big, small and inbetween - that should be on your radar.
The latest single from The Stolen is one that I’ve replayed countless times since the release. Aside from the fact that it is extremely catchy, the lyrics touch a bit on the topic of mental health (particularly during the pre-choruses), and the track as a whole is a very enjoyable listen you’re bound to come back to over and over.

THE STOLEN FT. JAKE MILLER - “ROOFTOP”

VENATICI - “WHO I’LL BE”

This song made me discover this band in the first place, and it’s easily my favorite from them. With its meaningful lyrics and performances that are just as powerful (especially in the massive chorus), this is an anthem in the making from this band.

WESLEY - “DoN’T HAVE TO SAY YOU’RE SORRY”

This song is full of emotion, with the lyrics discussing the topic of addiction and recovering from it, as the vocal performance (which blew me away the first time I heard the track) and accompanying piano portray the emotion behind the song.

TROPHY EYES - “YOU CAN COUNT ON ME”

I really got into this album a month or so after its release, and the moment I heard this song, I was hooked. The chorus is very memorable and is just apart of why this song makes such a great lead single, and why it’s still one of my favorites from this entire album.

A SENSE OF PURPOSE - “NUMB”

The lead single from A Sense Of Purpose’s latest EP may be the biggest standout on the release. The more melodic vocals pair up with the passionate instrumentals to create a hard hitting ballad that quickly blew me away, and might just be one of my favorite tracks this band has put out to date.
