UK based pop punk band Shark Bait have dropped their debut single “Please Guy.” We got the chance to talk to guitarist/backing vocalist Max Shirtliff about the debut. What inspired the plot of the music video? Max: [It was] based on true events, a close friend of the band moved to Japan to live in Tokyo all of a sudden; the blow up doll was just for fun. Do you have any favorite memories from making it? Max: It was all so much fun, squeezing into a child size Darth Vader costume was pretty funny though. What was the writing/recording process like for it? Max: Writing the song was great, the chap who it is based on is a very unique fool, so we had a lot of material to work with haha As for recording, we have a top bloke in the country side we swear by, we also make an event of the journey and camp before we record which is always ace! What can people expect following the song? Max: We have so many great songs we could not be more excited to release, I think we will quickly follow up with another 2 singles and then a lengthy EP or maybe even an album but we will have to see.
